And course, and then there were also bugs! The University Museum was hosting an exhibit called 'Leggy! Live Spiders and their Relatives'. Yeah. I thought that Daddy would be giddy about taking Amelia, as that is more his thing. He, however, didn't seem to care. So Adia and I met up and let the youngin's go crazy.
They were armed with a mini-flashlight and a big ole magnifying glass at the door. And they loved every minute of it. There were tarantulas, scorpions, and walking sticks (not sure if they 'got' those, though). We came upon some Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches. I tried to convince them that it would make a nice snackie. Some people do, after all? They weren't falling for it.
There were some costumes that were just begging to be tried on. One was a centipede, and the other a tarantula. These costumes were simply stunning. A friend of Adia's that works at the museum made them, and truly, they were exquisite.
It seemed impossible not to imitate the creepies, so they crawled around the museum.
They thoroughly enjoyed themselves. A lovely day with best-ies.
