J.R. has been ansty-pantsy to get his little toy in the air after its maiden voyage straight into the ground. After receiving all the necessary parts in the mail, we went out to flat lands to try it out. For moral support, he brought along his little pixie with her own little plane.
It did go a little better. Should have probably picked a less windy day, though. It went up, and was looking dang good! Then veered left and landed in the grass.
He set it up again . . . .
But did not land in the grass
(see Amelia's plane? She kept mimicking his plane! After awhile, Daddy failed to see the humor.)
J.R. stopped for a few repairs, a couple of new propellers,
and then tried it again.
Luckily, it is a bright color and easy to find in the tall grass.
Then he just lost heart.
He has decided to hang the plane as decoration until he can figure out how to fly the dang thing.
He is pretty bummed, though. He bit off a little more then he could chew.
