Super RandoMilia's

This week in library outings has been a little off.  There was a special 'session' held on a Tuesday (rather than the usual Thursday) in which a magician came up from Anchorage to perform.  Poor guy, it was a hot day and he performed for over an hour in the sun.  As we, too, had to sit in the sun, the big beach hat came out.  As there isn't really much to document, Amelia and I opted for a little self portrait. That is all we have to show for the day.
Then on the normal Thursday, it was kind of a drop-in day.  Each kid was given a square to decorate that will later be turned into a quilt.  Methinks that is going to be a rather large quilt.
I hope some of the older kids contribute their artistic talents, or this quilt could be a funny looking one.  On a joyous note, though . . . . . , Amelia wrote her name on the back of her square.  Spelled correctly, without hesitation, and without help.  When Daddy got home she did it again for him.  He now has to ante up on his promise to take her to the toy store to buy her anything she wants.  Unfortunately, she has decided to wait until we go to Anchorage next month.  That is where Toys R Us is.  It will blow her mind.  As well as my wallet, I'm sure.
Amelia's bike has really not gotten quite the attention that it deserved.  It has sat, rather lonely, waiting to be ridden.  Then all of a sudden, Amelia can't get enough of it.  She rides it back and forth to Grammas (every time), down the road, and recently completed a four mile ride.  She was tired.  And saddlesore.

She is learning to handle her crashes rather well.  She is rewarded with a bandaid, so she just sucks it up.  Sure glad she's using those pads we got her.  And helmet.  Good heavens, just shoes would have been nice.
Just can't figure out where her brown tooth comes from  . . . . . . .

Sitka has been making frequent trips to the vet as of late.  We have a pretty lax clinic.  Acupuncture, laser therapy, the whole hippie-nine-yards.  And a pig with sparkly painted toes, who loves bananas.  Amelia didn't stop talking about it for days.
Mom - aren't I pretty in my kewl hat?  What do you think?
