I think the real reason that Gramma Mini came up here was so that we could celebrate her birthday with her. I just don't think she knew it.
We tried to take her out for a night on the town, but she just wanted a quite night home. She choose for her dinner moose, fresh cabbage, and new potatoes. Done!
The moose didn't necessarily start out so well. I opened the package and started the moose. When I went to pour out the juices from the bag, I noticed something odd. Long, narrow, and wormlike. I called J.R. over and asked them if it might be parasites (not real uncommon, but based on who gave us the moose not real likely). J.R. was intrigued, as well.
So, he pulled out his trusty microscope. Miss Nosey-pants was not far behind him.
Amelia was all about the microscope, and cutting the 'specimen'. No fear, it turned out to be a wee bit of grass. No worms. I can assure you that it made the meal much more palatable! Silly mommy.
Here was the final result. Dang tasty, I might add.
Because we really like to stretch things out, we didn't want to do the cake the same day. So it came a few days later.
Zucchini cake. Cream Cheese frosting. Yum.
Amelia has now been around enough cakes to know what to do. Whether or not her expertise is really wanted.
Happy Birthday to Gramma Mini!
