It is obviously the time of year where Gramma is in her element. She is out of school, so she is able to devote her full time and attention to 'The Garden'. I should probably take a picture so that you could understand the scale that she is working on. It might be more accurate to call it a small farm. Mila now has the option hanging out with Mom, or in the garden. She is not choosing Option A.
Gramma promised her that she could have her own special spot to grow her own things. It was all Mila could talk about until it was done. Mila took her little shovel and bucket, and filled her planter boxes. Then, Mommy took Mila to the local greenhouse to pick her flowers. When asked what she wanted, she said 'pink flowers'. We went up and down and sidewards looking at the flowers (there are some wicked cool ones out there!) and she was down right firm about the pink. Then, she put them (ever so carefully) in her little basket to purchase them. Then (ever so carefully) took them to the car, then home to plant. I'm not sure if it is clear, but she was very, very careful with her little plants.
Then there was the planting . . . . . .
Then the favorite part! Watering!!!
The other two boxes have sugar peas, carrots, and beans. Mila knows they are in there, but is not quite as excited. Can't wait until the little shoots come up!
