Every girl just loves her shoes!

We've been searching desperately for shoes for Amelia.  This town is not wealthy in shoe selection (Mommy has had problems as well)  In one week (or so it seemed), none of her shoes fit.  I've tried to prolong it and shove (literally) her feet back in, but she keeps claiming her toes hurt, and then she insists on a foot massage (hummm, who's daughter could she be?)

I was wandering around one store, when she came up behind me and said 'Mom, I like these ones!'.  She then put her's back in the box, then back on the rack.
You could hear her clip-clopping (yes, the had heels on them) all over the store, and she was none too pleased with herself!  In case you are asking if she got them - no - they were size 9 women's.  I might(?) have considered them if I could've even found them in Mommy's size 7.
I had made Amelia a deal that if she could go seven nights without peeing in her nighttime panties (pull-ups), she could get an ice cream cone.  She is very, very close to not wetting the bed at night, but out of seven day will usually pee at least once.  And I never know which ONE that will be, so we wait.

Then, she finally did it!  Turns out we are horrible parents, 'cause she's never had an ice cream cone.  We went to Hot Licks (a local obsession), and I told her she could pick any flavor.
Mom: You want rocky road, with marshmallows and nuts?
Mila: I want chocolate.
Mom: How about blueberry?
Mila: Chocolate.
Mom: Peanut butter chocolate?
Mila: No, just chocolate.
She was a happy camper.  I wasn't going to get anything, until a voice from high came down and said to get a tiger's blood sno-cone.  MY FAVORITE!!!!  Sno-cones are a rarity up here, so I haven't really had one since I left Utah.  So sad for Mommy.  Amelia keeps saying that next time (who says there's a next time?!) she'll get the red one.  She likey!

We then tromped across the street to try on shoes for Daddy.  And apparently Amelia.
