At least every day, Amelia ask's to go on a walk. I am usually delighted to do so, however I am pretty darn bored of walking on the streets by our house. We've been doing it for two years, I'm over it.
She had been begging for a couple of days for a one of her famous walks, and I decided to try a change of scenery. I found the most delightful trail close to our house, of which everybody else in the family apparently already knew about.
It is a pretty good nature loop, and I thought Amelia would be up for it. It was an awesome day, and the trail was truly delightful. It was along a river, there were birds nests, and lots to visually explore.
This trail was absolutely teeming with numerous species of mushrooms. We looked at almost everyone.
And then she discovered they 'poofed' when you stomped on them. She will likely have some sort of lung disease now, but she had a good time!
We walked for about an hour when she suddenly turned around and demanded 'carry me'.
Mom: You said you wanted to go for a walk!
Amelia: I've changed my mind. Carry me.
She is far to big to be carrying over those kinds of distances.
