It has been a long time since Amelia has had a date with her main squeeze. It was decided to meet up up with Torrin on a lovely Saturday. His school was having a fundraiser, a Truck Touch. Basically, lots of manly vehicles that kids could climb up, down, through, under, and play with. Probably any man's nightmare (I say this thinking of Daddy and Grampa).
While waiting for Torrin to arrive, Amelia could just sit and look at what lay before her eyes. Here, you see the face of impatience.
First was a huge ladder fire truck (frankly, the biggest Mom has ever seen!). When we got to the truck, the ladder was up in the air, but the bucket finally came down. The kids were allowed in to check out these water guns. Amelia got in, then asked to be removed. She no likey.
There was a small 'race course', and seeing as though Amelia is crazy for bikes, she was on it!
Then a plane, which wasn't going far as it was missing its wings.
How excited was Amelia to play on a boat? Guar-an-teed Grampa's not letting her play on his. I thought of Grampa as we walked up to see at least eight kids clambering all over this boat. Mila sat down, gunned it, turned on the windshield wipers, and in general made mayhem with a big smile.
Doesn't he just demand . . . . . attention? respect? something.
My child is ruining perfectly good photographic opportunities. There was more than this one, by the way.
Probably Amelia's favorite was the bounce house, though. She even came out of it with a bloody lip, and not a lick of recall as to how she received it.
Mommy Adia keeping a close watch with little Zay. In the shade. It was a hot day.
Then we were invited up to the Cotter's for a little dinner. And costume party? Spiderman kicking everybody's butt, and Triceratops gabbing on her phone. A fine pair, these two make. They never even miss a beat.
Driving home, Amelia declared it the best day! Really, what more can one ask for?
