Upgrading from a guppy to a minnow

After two sets of lessons, you should as Amelia if she can swim.  Her answer, of course, will be yes.  After all, according to her she could swim before her lessons began (and after only once in a pool).

She really enjoyed herself, and asked everyday if 'today was a swimming day?'  Here are a couple of photo's from her last lesson.  I am delighted at her confidence in the water now.  She can't necessarily float, but with something floaty can get from here to there.  She does NOT like to float on her back, and it was reflected so on both her 'report cards'.  She's getting pretty good at squirming around under water.  However, her greatest delight is diving into the water.  She is now begging to go swimming 'as a family'.  Looks as though I'm gonna need to acquire a swimming costume.

One action that we noticed she'd cultivated is butting.  All the kids would line up, and take their turn.  The teacher would then start at the other end, and while the first kid was out she'd ever so conveniently move to the next spot in line.  Cheeky little pixie.  She claimed it was because she was worried the teacher would forget to give her a turn.  The only child syndrome rears it's solitary head.

Group shot of the kids in 'deep' water.  The teacher had to take them there so they would pay attention.  They kept swimming while he was out, but were less likely to do so where the bottom of the pool was further away.
Our little cheeky pixie.
And one, of at least twenty, pictures of her diving.  Most of them blurry.

She truly loves her new found skill.
