I was recently going through Gramma's camera to find a picture. As it turns out, Gramma doesn't know how to dump her pictures, so she has quite a store. Some are from before Amelia could even talk!
These pics were taken this spring. I believe that after this, we started to listen a little better to what Amelia was actually saying/requesting.
We were over at Gramma's, and I recall I was lounging on the couch. I remember that Amelia had gone potty in Gramma's bathroom, and that she had started playing with Gramma's hair do-da's.
Then, I remember thinking that it had been silent for an awfully long time. I yelled (yeah, like I was getting up!) and Amelia came running. I looked up, and was actually startled. Then speechless. Then I started stammering.
Amidst the hair do-da's was Gramma's mascara. Oh, was she proud. And I have to admit, she did an excellent job. She was pretty spot on, don't you think?
As I gazed upon my daughter's loveliness, I couldn't get another face out of my head! I was actually pretty creeped out! (Frida Kahlo, was the answer, by the way!)
Then, Amelia took off with the camera . . . . . .
Which was okay, as there were smiles all around!
