How remiss of me; I found more random pics.
Whilst the pixie and I were in Utah last year, I made a point to find this dress. There was a 'series' that I had had when we lived in South America. Mainly, I wanted the wall hanging for Amelia's walls. It is really busy, and I thought would be lovely to stare at while she day dreamed.
Also 'matching' the collection was a skirt (for later!), a skirt for my mom, and this jumper. I remember feeling so pretty in it. As a bonus, my best buddy at the time had the same dress. What a delight when we wore them on the same day! I would follow her around, and do everything she did. It's called copy-cat-ing. It's annoying. She let me know so on several instances, but I never seemed to get it.
Now, I would wear the dress to school. Kindergarten/first grade-ish, which is 6 or 7. Amelia is 3 1/2, and this sucker might be thought of as getting short. I have been vaguely aware that she's got some long legs, but jeez! And they are just getting longer!
She was such a good sport, but it was just too darn early!
After she came home from church, I got a strange story that I had to verify with Gramma. She apparently was loving the pockets on these, because she stuffed them full of animal crackers in nursery, and then passed them out to 'all of my friends' in primary. It seems a good way to make friends if I've ever heard one!
A sewing lesson that went bad. One moment I was imparting knowledge, then next she was building, stringing and creating.
This chicky-momma LOVES dandelions. Very few things bring her greater joy than standing in a meadow of yellow. Gramma has been okay with this.
