I just have to take a small moment for a 'toot-toot'!
For future reference, a toot-toot is an accolade given for an outstanding job well done. Tonight, we will be discussing my pizza. Tonight, it is 100% me.
Yes, I made the dough. Yes, that sauce was made from scratch. Oh, not the mozzarella, you say? Yup, it began in a big pot on my stove.
I have been on a quest to make most food items from scratch. It's been going on for quite awhile, and I'm getting pretty good (insert small 'toot-toot'). Then I started to figure out that one can make their own glass cleaner, laundry soap, and/or fabric softener. I still haven't actually tried these projects, however, but it's coming! But I ran across a recipe for homemade mozzarella. In regards to pizza, I feel that one must buy the best mozzarella as it can actually be tasted. No cheapy brands for us! That being said, do you KNOW how much good mozzarella is? No good. But, so good.
This was soooooo easy. I mean really, really easy. While it seemed a little wasteful that a gallon of milk yielded only two tennis ball sized balls of delight, I've decided to get over it.
Yes, you wish you were here for dinner tonight.
Now, moving on. My Dad recently made some snarky comments that I may have been lacking in my postings. I knew that, but recently looked in my 'queue' and found about seven. Which I will now be able to add several more thanks to a lovely family vacay spent 'camping'.
I'm getting there . . . . . . .
