We finally start Camping!

Well, by this time in our vacation, we decided that we should start camping.  After all, it has been six days.  We headed to Quartz Creek; it's an awesome campground (with bathrooms!) right off a river.  Yeah for all!
JR's parents had already ventured south on his special day, so we had a little belated family celebration.  Yeah! kabobs.
Amelia did a little fishing before dinner.  She kept catching the elusive bluie; it's quite uncommon in these parts.

Savory kabobs were then followed by strawberry shortcake.  With lots and lots of strawberries.  Darn.
Amelia was able to delight us all with a little warbling throughout.

After dinner (remember, we get a lot of light up here!), we were off for some more fishing.  Amelia tried to go, but as she was so insistent on getting the pretty pink fishing pole with princess' she ended up with a really crappy pole.  It broke every 15 minutes.  So, she spent most of the evening doing this.
After a satisfying evening by the campfire, Amelia fell fast asleep in the fresh air.  In the camper.  Judas.

The next day, Gramma and Grampa decided to call it quits and head home.  After all, they had a lot (A LOT!) of frozen fish to get home.
Amelia was severely disheartened about the prospect of having to be with only Mom and Dad.  She offered to go with them.  Several times.
And I took a family portrait.  Is it considered a family portrait if you can't actually see the whole family?
