A Storybook Festival

Well, as if we have not attended any of our local library's functions, we found another.  Our library has been raising funds for the new library that they want to build, and desperately need.  They are hoping to break ground next year, and have it completed by the year after.  The library held a fundraiser by hosting a street fair called a 'Storybook Festival'.  The idea was to dress up as one's favorite character.  I was thinking that the little pixie would go as something pink and fluffy, but then at the last minute thought that she'd make a better park ranger.  A wise idea, because there were a lot of fluffy little girls.  And how much did she rock the aviators?

She was stoked to go 'like Daddy'.  He'd been gone for about a week, and was coming home that evening, so it did not take much convincing to get her to dress up just like him.  While I think he is a pretty handsome guy, he's got nothing on his little offspring.  She rocked it!

Started the day off with a little fishing.
Mom!  Mom!  Look, it's Beauty!
There were sweet little bunnies, who were just begging have their soft little selves stroked.
The animal pens were a part of Old MacDonald's farm.  There were some lambs, and goats, too.
Ahhh, face painting.  No need to elaborate, right?

The thing she got most excited about?  Petting random dogs.  As a bonus, they gave her a little treat to take home to her puppy.
A fabulous lady read the story of the 'Three Billy Goats Gruff' while Mila made stick puppets.  The poor lady had to read it more than once at the pixie's insistence.  The fabulous lady denied requests after the third reading.
Somehow, we then began to play hide and seek.
Mom!  Close your eyes, and don't look.
Where's Amelia?

Oh, there she is . . . .
How excited was Daddy to see Amelia all dressed up to see him?  So!
How much more excited was Amelia to cool off with an ice cream bar?  So-er!
